Rimworld Wall Light
A simple mod that adds walls with integrated lights to the game.
Rimworld wall light. The wall lights use 15 of power and take steel x5 to build. Interior areas built larger than this will remain partially unroofed. The functionally is identical to the regular standing lamp but an aesthetic variant. The only reason not to use it is if you are on version 1 0 of rimworld.
If something happens to the wall you ve placed it on or you build a wall in front of it the light will be destroyed. Also includes wall sun lights requires colored lights research because purple. The wall lights mod adds a new light object that can be mounted on walls. In which case continue using this.
A roof can extend up to 6 tiles from a wall so roofed interiors have a maximum size of 12 cells across the shortest side. I tend to use torches more than lamps i beat the game for the first time on cassandra rough and didn t use any lamps but that might change with the a15 balance change of torches. Has a white mode option if the bright purple light bothers you. Prisons med bay and common areas are usually the only places i use lights and i use switches in prison med bay for when they re not in use.
Can be disabled if you have no use for them. These lights are meant to be placed on a tile in front of a wall and rotated in place. A roof is an area of cover from the elements. They must be placed on an impassable tile facing a passable one.
Revived from an old and lost mod on the ludeon forums by itchyflea vas. They play very nicely with all sorts of workbenches and furniture. The new version is also much more efficient performance wise. Wall light now contains these lights with an option to disable the regular wall lights if you only want the plant growing ones.
There are three varieties of colored light. Can be configured like the regular wall lights. Red blue and green. Revived from an old and lost mod on the ludeon forums.
Place these lights directly on your walls. Wall lights will allow you to gain space in all rooms instead of wasting tiles with standing lamps.
